Adipex Alternative
Not Obese? You Don’t Need an Adipex Alternative Online – Try Phentramin-D Instead
Phentramin-D is a non-prescription diet pill created by the highly reputable Lazarus Labs. Unlike other over-the-counter diet pills that pretend to be the best Adipex alternative options, Phentramin-D does not make these claims. It doesn’t have to because it has not been developed as an alternative to Adipex or other obesity medications like Phentermine and Bontril. Instead, its purpose is to help support the weight management efforts of overweight dieters with a BMI of 29.9 or less.
Should You Be Buying Adipex?
If you’re not sure whether or not buying Adipex is a good idea for you, your best advice is to head to the doctor’s office. There are, after all, many reasons that would or would not make this medication appropriate for you. For instance, while the majority of people prescribed this drug have obesity, that is not always the case. Furthermore, just being obese isn’t enough to justify prescribing this drug to you.
Beyond a prescription, your doctor will also want to discuss your lifestyle habits with you. From there, you will receive a prescription for an eating strategy – often in the form of calorie restriction – physical activity boosting based on your fitness level, and other important habits. A prescription for this drug is not enough to lose weight. It is a complement to changing the lifestyle habits that caused the fat to build up over time in the first place. If you aren’t interested in making these changes, then the prescription won’t help you.
Another factor to consider is the cost. Do you have health insurance? Does your plan cover this particular drug, or its generic – phentermine – or would you have to pay for the whole thing out of pocket? Remember that this medication can only help you if you have the capability and willingness to pay for it, which means that its cost should also be taken into consideration.
Finally, be sure that you understand not just the advantages of Adipex, but also its drawbacks, such as side effects and addiction risk. This will help you to know if you want to purchase this drug.
What to Choose Instead of an Adipex Alternative
So, you know that buying Adipex isn’t the right option for you. You also know that you aren’t looking for a replacement for that prescription drug as much as you need support in reaching your goals. You’re not seeking an obesity treatment but, in that case, what could Phentramin-D have to offer?
If Phentramin-D is not an Adipex alternative product, what can it do for you? With Phentramin-D, you can experience benefits that can lead to a happier, healthier, trimmer and thinner you. It can help you battle your biggest dieting struggles by:
- Supporting your dieting efforts, so you can take control over your hunger and stick to healthier, reduced calorie eating.
- Enhancing energy to help you live a more active lifestyle.
- Increasing metabolism to keep your body running at optimal levels.
- Boosting thermogenesis to aid your body in its ability to burn fat.

Phentramin-D Customer Reviews
Why Phentramin-D is Better Than an Adipex Alternative
Many people are seeking a safe and effective Adipex alternative to help them lose weight. However, there is no non-prescription alternative to Adipex, because Adipex isn’t simply a weight loss pill. It is a medical treatment for obesity, and obesity is a disease. Prescription diet pills, such as Adipex and Phentermine, have shown proven results for short-term weight loss in obese patients.
These medications require a doctor’s prescription because they are powerful obesity treatments and they have potentially harmful side effects. If you are not obese (BMI of 30+), a quality non-prescription diet pill can help assist you in supporting a healthy weight loss program. In other words, when you’re overweight, it’s not about finding a good Adipex alternative, it’s about finding the right formula that gives you the best chance at achieving your dieting goals.
A Non-Prescription Diet Support Pill
This is where Phentramin-D comes in. It doesn’t pretend to be a top Adipex alternative like many of the diet pills on the market today. It does not make false claims and its formula isn’t just a long list of extracts and herbs that try to hop on board the latest hype bandwagon without actually being able to live up to their claims.
Instead, Phentramin-D tablets were developed using a premium formula that was created by a team of experts specializing in the industry, who have a thorough understanding of the processes of the body and what is needed in order to offer the highest level of support.
Phentramin-D Ingredients
The Phentramin-D formula is based on four primary active ingredients. These include: 2-Phenylethylamine Hydrochloride (PEA), Caffeine, Hordenine, Synephrine Hydrochloride. Together, they work to promote healthier eating to support your efforts in consistently following your reduced calorie diet plan. They can also enhance metabolic rate and fat oxidation by helping to prop up your metabolism, especially during workouts.
Though many dieters struggle with fatigue when they are consuming fewer calories and burning more fats – making it harder to keep up with an increased exercise routine and motivation – the ingredients in Phentramin-D help you to overcome this obstacle with their energy-increasing benefits.
How to Use Phentramin-D
The best way to use Phentramin-D instead of continuing to look for an Adipex alternative is to have a look at the directions printed directly on the package label. These provide you with the instructions the manufacturer has carefully outlined to ensure you gain the best benefits while avoiding potential issues that are unnecessary and completely avoidable.
The product package for Phentramin-D recommends using two tablets per day. The first tablet should be swallowed with 8 ounces of water about 20 minutes before eating your morning meal. The second tablet is swallowed with another 8 ounces of water 20 minutes before you eat your lunch, or early in the afternoon. That’s all you’ll need to take to enjoy the benefits that day.
The recommendations also suggest that you avoid taking Phentramin-D too late in the day. The reason is that the energizing ingredients are beneficial when you want to be powered up and ready for your workout or motivated to stick to your eating strategy. However, they are not as desirable closer to bedtime when you want to wind down and go to sleep. Therefore, if your last dose occurs at lunchtime or early in the afternoon, you’ll be able to enjoy all the energizing benefits before you’re ready to go to sleep at night.
Diet and Exercise
Don’t forget that swallowing this pill doesn’t make up the entire strategy for supporting your weight loss. In fact, it doesn’t cause weight loss on its own. Instead, it provides you with helpful support in overcoming the challenges to the other efforts you’re making. For this reason. The package label for this diet pill also recommends combining your use of Phentramin-D with proper nutrition habits and an exercise program.
If you’re not sure what those should entail, it’s always recommended that you speak with your doctor. They will be able to advise you regarding the nature of the dieting strategy that will be best for you. For instance, if calorie restriction is recommended for you, your doctor will be able to tell you what calorie range will be healthiest for your weight loss.
You may also find that a personal trainer can help you to design a fitness strategy that will best suit your physical and fat burning needs.

How long can you stay on Phentramin D for? I have about 50lbs I want to shed and wonder if this will get me there?
You can take it for months and months. Eventually you might feel it wearing off but not after a very long time. If you do feel it losing it’s strength a bit then quit for a while and then start back up again. I have used it to lose 35 lbs and then I use it here and there as maintenance. It’s safe for you to take ongoing.
Order the three months supply, take it diligently, do some sort of regular exersize and you will be well on your way to your 50 lb goal.
you can take it for as long as you need to. there is no time limit on it really.
Just wanted to update- I ended up ordering the pills. It’s been 3.5 weeks now and I have lost 12 lbs. If you are skeptic, phentramin D works. I am very happy I think it’s a quality product. Also the ordering process was easy and customer servce professional. I have no problem recommending this product/website to anyone who wants to lose some weight.
yes you can take it for as little or as long as you want. it’s safe for that.
I have been on it for 2 months and am down 25 lbs. I feel really motivated that it will get me to a 40-45 lbs loss which will then be my goal. 🙂
I have heard adipex can make you feel like crap especially in the beginning i.e. dizzy, headaches, fast heart and I am wondering if anyone has tried Phentramin D and if it worked and what were your side effects?
I am a big proponent of phentramin D! It works very well and makes you feel amazing. No side effectsreally- just a dry mouth, a lot of energy and you won’t care about food anymore!
I am one of those people that had trouble with adipex. It made me lose weight but I had the racy heart and a lot of trouble sleeping. I had to stop using it and I was very dissapointed. When I found out about Phen D I thought I had to give it a try. I feel much better on it, still have trouble sleeping the odd night but no more racy heart.
@Tiffany- are you losing weight? do you find it is suppressing your appetite?
You might feel slightly headachy in the beginning on Phentramin D but that goes away pretty quick and then you feel the energy and have no appetite. Give it a few days.
Is phentramin D really as strong as adipex?
some people say no it’s not as strong, and others say it worked better for them then adipex so it just depends on who you talk to.
The side effects are not as strong that’s for sure.
For me it worked pretty much the same except I felt more normal on Phen D.
For me I find the two very comparable. With Adipex I did get more headachy but I only switched out of pure laziness because it was a pain to always go to the doctor and get a prescription. Now I just order it online and it comes to the house.
Adipex is better of the two but I have heard really good things about Phen D. Thinking of trying it myself.
I did lose weight with adipex, but I was moody, headachy and never felt “quite right” so I stopped taking it. Right away I noticed the weight start to creep back on so I panicked and ordered Phentramin D. I have since lost even more weight and I feel much more like myself. No headaches etc. I would recommend it for anyone that is more sensative to adipex.
I am taking adipex and I am on week one but it is making me constipated. Anyone else have this issue?
Yes I was constipated on adipex among other things. My suggestion is to eat a few table spoons of oat bran every day and drink a lot of water.
That is a pretty common side effect of prescription drugs in general I think. I don’t know why but strong meds tend to back up our system.
I am taking phentramin D and it does not make me constipated at all.
ok good to know I am not the only one lol
My doctor would not prescribe me adipex ( I only have to lose about 20 lbs) so I came on here looking for something similar. I ordered phentramin D and in two weeks I have lost 10 lbs and am half way there. The pills work amazingly well.
@ Lexi- Just wondering what kind of foods you are eating to get this result. I have about 20 lbs to lose as well and hoping I get the same result as you (at least in the beginning.) Thanks in advance!
I am eating a lot of salads, raw vegetables and fruit. Non fat yogurt, cottage cheese and chicken breast. I am limiting my bread intake as well.
Thanks ok so it sounds like you are eating quite healthy. I was hoping I really wouldn’t have to diet too much but I guess I will need to watch what I eat as well over the next while.
Yes unfortunately you do have to eat healthy. 🙂
Phentramin D really is meant to help leach you new eating habits and get you motivated to lose weight and get healthy. If you don’t learn healthy eating then you will just gain all the weight back as soon as you stop taking the pills. My best advice is use this time to start eating properly and adapt it as your new lifestyle. 🙂
How do you like it?
Down now to my goal weight in time for summer and I look and feel awesome. All my friends are commenting and are asking how I did it lol. If you are trying to lose weight I reccommend it!
I am tying to shop around for the best price for phentramin D. Just wondering where you folks are ordering yours from?
If you scroll up there is a chart above and you can buy it right here. I found the customer service very good and professional. It was all totally legit.
My biggest tip is to avoid sugar! all soda (even diet), fruit drinks, all juices, ice cream, basically anything sweet. replace it with water. It’s really hard at first but you get over it and then you don’t miss it at all. I have lost 60 lbs (I am a guy and 5 ft 9.) I started Phentramin D 3 months ago and have cleaned up my eating and I just take the dog for a daily walk. It’s like miracle medicine.
Down 8 lbs in 2 weeks with phentramin D! I have been drinking a lot of water, eating lots of fruits and vegetables and not eating anything after 7 pm at night. If I do get hungry in the evening I have a cup of chamomile tea and go to bed early. So far I have not been hungry during the day so no temptations there.
I just ordered my 3 month supply. I am very excited this site was just the push I needed to take the next step. I hope I will be as successful as most of you!!
I found this website looking for adipex- I am wondering what the side effects are with Phentramin D?
You might feel slightly jittery and have a dry mouth but that’s mainly it.
I have no side effects with phentramin D. Just a reduced appetite and more energy.
Which one is better? Adipex or Phentermine?
They are both the same thing and they both work amazingly well. If you can’t get either of them from your doctor then order Phentramin D because you will get basically the same results but it is non prescription. Good Luck.
One is just the generic form of the other. Either works if you can get it.
What happens when you come off the pills? Will you gain the weight back as soon as you stop taking them or how does that work?
Yes you will gain the weight back if you don’t keep up your good eating and exersizing habits after you stop taking the pills. That’s the problem a lot of people just think Oh I’ve lost the weight then they go back to eating the way they did before only to gain it all back (and then some.)
I have been off them for three weeks and I have not yet gained anything back. If I am going to be in a food tempting situation, i.e. party or dinner, I will pop a pill as needed before I go and then I won’t have any appetite for the food. Works like a charm.
can you take blood pressure tablets while on phentramin D
rose – Phentramin-d should not be taken by individuals with high blood pressure or who are taking prescription medications. It would be very important to discuss taking this diet pill with your doctor to see if it is the right choice for you, given your current health and medications you are taking.
Rose,
If you workout for about a month before you take any weight loss aids and cut out a lot of your salt intake, your blood pressure should improve in general. Mine went from 138/76 to 126/64 and my doctor told me that was really good. I also had high blood pressure as a child due to waaay oversalting my food. I worked out to the Insanity program for a month and my blood pressure changed that much and I’m 20 years old. I didn’t see any weight come off due to my diet and I’m hoping Adipex, in addition to my workout and change in diet, will help during the second month.
WHAT IS THE RETURN POLICY? THX
ADA – The manufacturer does not offer a money-back return policy at this time.
This drug works extremely well. I take one in the morning and I have energy to do my workout, clean the house, go shopping, do the laundry. Then one in the afternoon and I am good to go to work then it’s off to my night class. I only have one side effect and that is the dry mouth but it’s really not a big deal. I just carry water with me everywhere.
I have taken adipex numerous times over the past few years and I managed to lose 40 lbs. My doctor then told me to stop taking it and then boom all the weight came back on and some extra. I am really mad at myself for working so hard and letting that happen. Now I going to get serious about my weight again and I am ready to order phentramin D this time and now I have the motivation and I am determined to lose this weight again for good.
Hi there, I lost 30 lbs with adipex but some of my side effects were just driving me crazy i.e. I had jitteryness, I was biting my tounge constantly & had occaisinal palpitations so I stopped taking it and switched to phentramin D. I will say I don’t have near the side effects with phentramin D and I am still losing weight so, so far so good!
You will have no desire to eat on Phen D it even makes you feel a bit manic. I was very chatty with people and felt a bit high at times. I had a lot of energy. You will enjoy a tremendous weight loss but make sure to wean yourself off gradually or you can gain the weight back.
I have heard that it don’t work but from what I have read it looks like it does work
Oh it works alright!
It works but you have to work at at least eating better too. Don’t just rely on the pills they are meant to supplement your diet and not be a replacement for good eating habits and exersize.
I think it works pretty ok for most people, but there are some who have tried it and said they did not feel it. Just depends on the person I think.
I lost 20 lbs with the help of Phentramin D and have since kept it off because I have taken up RUNNING. My advice is to take it for a few weeks and then when you have lost the weight keep watching what you eat and start exersizing so if you do over eat here and there the exersize will balance it all out.
How long did it take you to lose the 20? Where you on Phen D the whole time?
I lost the 20 in just over 4 weeks and yes I was taking Phentramin D the entire time. It gave me the will power I otherwise never would have had.
My experience with phen d has also been good so far! If you don’t feel it kicking in right away on the first day keep taking it you will feel it by the second or third day and then you will be cruizing 🙂
it’s coming up to evening time and I am starting to get a bit hungry. what should I do? My hunger has been staved off pretty much all day but now feeling a bit peckish…
Eat something but make it light i.e. low fat yogurt, an apple or an organge, small salad with chicken. That sort of thing.
you could also try taking your afternoon dose a little bit later so that it lasts more into the evening time.
My doctor told me to break the tablets in half and take one before breakfast and one in the afternoon, depending on when you wake up and when you go to sleep. If taken in the morning, I read that you should take it 10-14 hours before sleeping. I don’t have the jittery, over-energized side effect so to me 5-7 hours before bed for the other half of the tablet doesn’t have to be super accurate. Especially on long days. I was also told that 9 times out of 10, when you think you are hungry, you are really just thirsty so drink a full glass of water in a 5 minute time frame and you will be full.
“Especially on long days. I was also told that 9 times out of 10, when you think you are hungry, you are really just thirsty”
This is a really good point. If you feel like you are still hungry after taking the pills you could very well just be thirsty. Keep a water bottle with you at all times and refill it througout the day. I drink about 3 litres every day. Yes you will have to pee a lot but it helps stave off hunger and helps you lose weight by flushing water and toxins out of your system. The more water you drink the less water you retain.
Ok I am going to try and break my second pill in half, take half when I am supposed to then the other half in the later afternoon to keep me going into the night. Thanks for the ideas.
I am really interested in buying the Phen D but i have slightly high blood pressure which is under control buy taking meds. Should i still purchase the pill? I need to loose about 25 more pounds as quickly as possible. Please help.
The pills will no doubt help you lose the weight but I would call your doctor first and ask just to be on the safe side. These pills are non prescription but they are still a drug.
I have been on adipex before. My doctor perscribed it to me when I just couldn’t lose any weight with diet and exersize. I would go a week or so and then give up. The big problem that I had with adipex was that it made me very jittery and shakey. After searching for something different but comparable I found phentramin D and decided to give it a try. I don;t have any jittery-ness with it and I am still losing weight. All I can say is if you are having any difficult side effects with adipex then give phentramin d a try. It helped me 🙂
I WAS JUST CURIOUS. I SET A GOAL TO LOSE 40Lbs. IN 3 MONTHS. WOULD THIS HELP? I’VE TRIED EVERY PILL POSSIBLE..
Yes it would help and it is a very attainable goal. It just depends on how dedicated you are with your eating and exersize habits. If you are just cutting down your portion sizes and going for the odd walk you are going to lose less then if you are working out several days per week doing a medium + level intensity of incardio and eating super clean. If you did the latter you could lose more than 40.
How do the people really know all of you are not paid “reviews” or automatic reviews by the host itself?!
I am not a paid review lol. Just here looking for some occasional help/support.
good point. i guess you don’t really know for sure but then how do you know if the comments/forums are real on every other site out there?
I have tried adipex a few times in the past and I do think it works to suppress the appetite but the side effects for me was that I always felt jittery and nervous and I felt my heart rate speed up. Also as soon as I stopped taking it I gained the weight back. Overall I was not a fan but if you can stick it out you will lose weight.
I am taking adipex and sometimes the capsules are blue and sometimes they are yellow. Which is better and what is the difference?
I think they are the same it just depends which lab created them.
Can teenagers use it as well?
Good question I am not sure. Phentramin D the alternative is non prescription so theoretically anyone over 18 can buy it online.
My fifteen year old is on it under my supervision. She has lost 20 lbs in 6 weeks and is MUCH happier about herself. She still has another 10-15 to go and this has really helped her develop good eating habits and exercising. She was quite chubby and it was really hard on her self esteem. I don’t plan for her to stay on it very long either.
I am new to taking to adipex but I heard from my friend who is a nurse that you should only take it for like 2 weeks and then go off it for a week. Has anyone else heard this? I have been doing it that way and I must say I have not had any head aches or jitters and I don’t feel addicted. I am 40 lbs overweight (but I don’t look it) and am losing about 3-4 lbs a week.
I have not heard that but it makes sense. I think if you are feeling the side effects badly this is a very good way to go. Nurse’s know what they are taking about 🙂 I myself am taking phentramin D and I don’t really have a problem with side effects but I hear adipex is a lot stronger.
I found adipex to be very addicting. It is a very strong drug that should only be used under the direction of a physician. I would not recommend it to anyone to has any addiction issues. Also you can’t stay on it forever and you’ll need to change your lifestyle and eating habits or you will just gain the weight back.
I am taking Phentramin D and my mom and my sister are taking it as well. In total we have lost 120 lbs! The only side effect I am having is a bit of a skin rash but it could be the dryness of the air where I live. My mom and my sister don’t have it though. Just wanted to share in my famíly’s success.
I will be keeping an online journal to track my progress with this so called “miracle pill” Phentramin D but just want to let ppl know here that I’m VERY glad to report that I’ve lost 7lb in only 5 days! I realize the first 10lb is only water weight but I’m dead happy anyway!
Peace & happiness to all,
Actually they say the first 4-6 lbs is water weight so you are probably well into losing FAT! lol
Update: Down a total of 15 lbs now in 2 weeks. Feeling amazing and still going strong. It does give you to motivation to stick with it and keep going.
@ Contiki
Are you doing any exercise/going to the gym while you are taking this pill? Have you changed your eating habits?
I am considering ordering this pill but I work 3 jobs (1 full-time 2 part-time evenings & weekends) so i am very limited on exercise and sleeping.
Thanks =)
I am 65 and have NO heath issues. i want to loose 25 lbs. How safe is this???
My mom is taking Phentramin D and she is also in her 60’s. She has had NO issues with it and has lost 45 lbs. It is over the counter but like with any medications don’t ever mix it with anything else and if you are worried at all just stop taking it or talk to your doctor about it. 25 lbs is nothing you will be well on your way in no time 🙂
How overweight do you need to be to be a good candidate for these pills? I have 15-20 lbs to lose and am wondering if I should bother?
For phentramin D anyone can take it whether you want to lose 5 lbs or 50 lbs. For adipex, you are supposed to be fairly overweight but your doctor will decide. Honestly though it’s easier to get then you might think even if you only have 20 to lose.
It depends on the docotor. Some might think 20 lbs is legitimate enough to give it to you, whereas others will want to you just go on a diet and lose it that way. I have had some doctors just think it’s easy to lose weight and I should try it naturally first without the help of pills. Well if I could do it naturally I would be thin already! duh.
I love adipex. I was warned about the high blood pressure, kidney issues and general feeling of being on “speed” but I have not had any problems with it, a little light headed here and there and a lot more energy overall. I have not not lost a lot of weight as of yet, but I do find that it’s made me develop much better eating habits.
I have more energy to work and play with my kids since starting phentramin D two weeks ago. Sometimes I get the odd headache but I drink lots of water. I am happy to say I have lost 10 lbs since starting.
I am on adipex and I must be one of the few people that does not feel the shakyness or the heart racy. It actually helps me relax! I can take a nap anytime no problem. I have lost a total of 14.5 lbs over the last month. It just makes me feel fuller thus I don’t need to keep eating and eating…
You know, for some people they are like you and it does not effect them at all. You honestly just have to try it and see if you are one of the lucky types or not.
Phentramin D has changed the way I think about food. It no longer rules my life and I am never hungry I didn’t think this would be possible as I have tried everything to lose weight but this is amazing and it works. I have gone from a size 18 to a size 10 in less then 2 months.
Does this effect birth control?
Phentramin D does not, but I am not sure about adipex.
I think xenical is the one that might affect the BC pills because of the risk of diarrhea you might expel it before your system has a chance to absorb it.
I have not ever heard of diet pills effecting the BC pill but that is a good question! I know antibiotics can render the pill ineffective, not sure about other medictions.
I JUST STARTED MY DIET PILL TODAY ONLY TOOK 1/2 OF A PILL AND I STARTED GETTING TIRED AROUND 4:00 PM I TOOK THE PILL AROUND 7 AM THIS MORNING I HAVE A SLIGHT HEADACHE AND BEEN COLD ALL DAY AND A LITTLE JITTERY . ONE GOOD THING I HAVE NOT WANTED TO EAT MUCH ALL DAY I TAKE PHENTRAMIN 37.5 MG . I JUST WANT TO KNOW SHOULD I KEEP TAKING 1/2 FOR AT LEAST 1 WEEK OR GO AHEAD AND START THE WHOLE PILL ?
If 1/2 the pill is working for you then stick with that for as long as it works! Once you feel it starting to wear off a bit go for the full dose.
I agree if you can get away with only taking half the dose do it.
I know of a few ppl that only take half the dose as a rule and they don’t get the severe side effects as when they take the whole pill. There is something to it.
I am on adipex and I have so far lost 42 lbs. The key for me was limiting my sodium intake. I had to stop eating all those “low cal” diet type TV dinners because they are packed with sodium and sodium makes you retain water and look bloated. All I can say is start eating fresh veggies, fruit and meat. It wasn’t till I did that, that the weight really started to come off me.
Hi there I have been taking adipex for 2.5 months I started out at 357 and I now am 325 without doing anything extra, just taking the pills as directed by my doctor. I have started to go to the gym now 3 days a week so I can further expedite my loss. I have no real program I just do a little cardio and a bit of weights and trying to work different muscle groups on different days.
I am new to this board, I just started taking Phentramin D last weekend and it is for sure helping control my normally insatiable appetite. The goal is to get under 150, I currently sit at about 185. Good luck to everyone.
My first week on Phentramin D is done and my loss, drum roll please………………
5.5 lbs!
At fiirst I was a little dissapointed because I have read that some people lose 10+ in the first week, but I do realize it affects everyone differently and I am infact LOSING so I am HAPPY with this!!
I am here to buy some more pills so thought I would post an update: I am happy to report I am now under 300! 297 to be exact. This is a great medication for anyone that wants to lose weight and who has tried everything else on their own.
